This jewish kiddush cup is a privileged member of the Filigree collection at Hazorfim and is therefore a breathtaking masterpiece, created as an exceptional salute to the impressive art of the Jews of Yemen. The name for this collection comes from the skilled art of filigree, an art form which decorates with thin threads of silver, joined and braided in magnificent designs, and practiced by these talented artists. This category of art demands a lot of time and effort, as it takes much patience and expertise to form the extraordinary designs which are featured by the silver pieces in this collection.
Standing on a flat, circular platform, this sterling silver kiddush cup then arches minimally to meet the stem. The round stem rises steadily to the top, with the cup held proudly at its head. The cup begins with a slightly rounded bottom, widening as it reaches the top and ending with a broader lip.
Featured just under the rim of this elegant piece is a delicate silver pattern, finishing this masterpiece in a beautiful way.

At Hazorfim, we chose to design a collection to pay homage to the special art of the Jews of Yemen and so we created the Filigree Collection, the central motif being crafted filigree. Filigree is the art of decorating by using fine silver threads spliced and wound in artistic patterns to form large, impressive silver decorations which adorn the pieces.
Filigree requires infinite patience as the craftsman persistently returns hundreds or thousands of times to the basic decoration pattern creating the spectacular adornments on the edges of each piece.
