Created in the fascinating style of the Filigree collection at Hazorfim, this 8 branch silver candelabra is an outstanding masterpiece, and is a wonderful salute to the exceptional art of the Jews of Yemen. This collection is named for the disciplined art of filigree, a form of art which decorates using thin strands of silver, linked and woven in elegant patterns, and practiced by these expert silversmiths. This art form requires much skill and patience, as it takes a lot of time and effort to fashion the impressive designs which adorn these silver pieces and create these magnificent items.
This 8 candle candelabra stands on a circular arched base supported by four legs of intricately carved silver, and boasts an incredible design at its center, just before it narrows into a stem. The stem climbs slightly and then thins greatly, changing into a long, bulb-like shape, with an ornate pattern etched into its sides. The arms of this standing candelabra feature a linear pattern, and curl up and down slightly, rising back up proudly to hold the cups with a vase-like shape, rounded at the bottom and then curving out, with a pretty design at the center.

At Hazorfim, we chose to design a collection to pay homage to the special art of the Jews of Yemen and so we created the Filigree Collection, the central motif being crafted filigree. Filigree is the art of decorating by using fine silver threads spliced and wound in artistic patterns to form large, impressive silver decorations which adorn the pieces.
Filigree requires infinite patience as the craftsman persistently returns hundreds or thousands of times to the basic decoration pattern creating the spectacular adornments on the edges of each piece.
