This Jewish kiddush cup is a special part of the Margarita collection at Hazorfim, and was created as a beautiful tribute to the silver art of the Spanish Jews, which continued to be formed until their expulsion from Spain in 1492. Every piece in the Margarita collection incorporates a blend of styles and Spanish designs, including flowers, vines, and other forms of nature, and is handmade individually by talented silver artists. The pieces in this collection are fashioned with exceptional sophistication and appeal, along with the Spanish decorations which serve as the foundation for the designs of many holy objects that we still have today.
Supported by an arched, circular base, this sterling silver kiddush cup then climbs minimally to reach the stem. The stem widens as it rises, before arching back in, with a small ring design just beneath the cup. Beginning with a rounded bottom, the cup then curves out and in again, bending back out as it reaches the top and ending with a broader lip.
The base and cup of this kiddush cup set are engraved with gorgeous patterns, some resembling leaves and vines, along with a beautiful flower ornament, placed on each side of the cup, to complete the exceptional design.
